I have only recently been informed to Jon's sad passing. The world has lost one of its treasures. Jon and I were close friends during our schooldays, and played in our first rock band together. He was one of the most truly gifted drummers on the scene. We both had very long hair, and were nicknamed "The Barbarians".
I had not seen Jon in many, many years; but thought about him and 'the old days' often. In the back of my mind I always assumed that at some point we would get back in contact; but life has a habit of getting in the way, and the best laid plans often get put on the back burner. And for that I am sad; and sad for his family.
I hope that you're rocking out brother, and giving the choir of angles some double-bass drums and off-beats?!
